The bus rapid transit service of Peshawar is becoming problematic for the residents. Several complains of chest infections and diseases have been reported. Once regarded as ‘City of flowers & gardens’, Peshawar city is now surrounded by dust. According to the reports, bus transit service is the major cause of all chest related diseases in the city, which has affected several residents. Hospitals are filled with several chest patients. For the placement of BRT line in between the city, excavation took place that resulted in polluting the city with clusters of dust and dirt. It has causes immense trouble for the residents of Peshawar. Places like G.T. Road, Haji Camp, Gulbahar, Bilal Town, Sikandar pura, Ashraf road, Khyber Bazaar and other adjoining areas are under the influence of dust and dirt clusters. Health experts have advised the residents of Peshawar to take preventive measures in this regard.
