Petrol price expected to increase by Rs 7 from November 1

Petrol price is likely to become more expensive from November 1 in view of continuous depreciation of Pakistani rupee and rise in oil prices.

According to sources petrol price is likely to increase up by Rs 7 from November 1. However, deiseal price is likely to go up by Rs 9 per liter.

Final price would be determine after observing fluctuations in imported oil prices over the next five days.

It may be recall that the PTI-led government had on October 16 announced a massive hike in the prices of petroleum products. Rs 10.49 per liter for petrol and Rs 12.44 per liter for high speed diesel increased earlier.

The notification of increase in POL products issued by the government a day after the increase in electricity rates by Rs 1.39 per unit.

Over the past few months, the entire energy chain has seen a sharp rise in prices due to high demand and supply disruptions in energy sources.
