PIA adds another A-320 to its fleet of planes

The portfolio of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has grown to 33 aircraft, including 13 Airbus aircraft, with the arrival of a new narrow-body Airbus A320.

An Airbus-320 narrow-body aircraft, which was on its way from Abu Dhabi to Islamabad as part of its effort to expand its fleet, landed at Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) on Friday. It joined the country’s flag airline.

Abdullah Hafeez Khan, a PIA spokesperson, stated in a statement.

“This year, PIA acquired four A-320 aircraft, and the fourth aircraft of this series has also reached Islamabad from Abu Dhabi,”

He said that the newer, better-equipped aircraft will enable the national flag carrier to provide passengers with even greater travel amenities.

The spokesman disclosed that PIA placed an overall order for four planes. The first one came in April, the second in July, and the third plane was not mentioned by the representative. It is important to remember that PIA obtained it in October of this year.

The expansion of the national flag carrier’s fleet is a wise decision. The move will enable it to add additional flights and boost revenue.
