The domestic airfares of Pakistan International Airlines and other independent airlines have skyrocketed.
Due to the impending Christmas, winter holidays, and New Year’s Eve, the tickets have increased in price significantly.

According to reports, the vast disparity between supply and demand is the fundamental cause of the tickets’ skyrocketing prices. Additionally, there is a sharp rise in the cost of international airline tickets.
According to the sources, the cost of a PIA flight from Karachi to Islamabad has risen to Rs 36,000 for one-way tickets and Rs 71,000 for round-trip tickets. Similar to this, Air Blue’s one-way cost from Karachi to Islamabad has increased to Rs 35,000 now.

Serene Air has increased the cost of its one-way tickets from Karachi to Islamabad by 38,000 and 60,000 rupees, respectively. One-way tickets on Air Sial cost Rs. 45,000 from Karachi to Islamabad, while return tickets now cost Rs. 80,000.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) did not properly balance the cost of flights. Due to this circumstance, the passengers are quite concerned. However, it is anticipated that prices would considerably decline following the Christmas and winter break.

Previously, the prohibition on bringing “chalia and supari” on flights to Turkey was implemented earlier in December by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), along with instructions to all flight attendants.

Aamir Bashir, general manager of aviation services for the PIA, published a statement about the prohibition on carrying chalia (areca nuts) on flights to Turkey. Chalia and supari are classified as drugs under Turkiye’s severe regulations.
According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s (PCAA) guidance, it is forbidden to transport and eat areca nuts (chalia and supari) in Turkey. It is considered to be a narcotic in Turkish law.
