PIA Gulf and KSA Flights Resume Following Al-Udeid Air Base Missile Strike Closure

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its flight operations to key Gulf/KSA destinations, including Qatar, Dubai, Bahrain, and Kuwait, following a suspension on June 23, 2025. The disruption was caused by Iranian missile strikes on U.S. bases in Qatar and subsequent airspace closures by Gulf countries.

The airline confirmed that flight delays of 12 to 15 hours expected due to operational adjustments. PIA has advised passengers to stay connected through call centres for updates and rebooking options.

The decision to resume flights came after regional airspace reopened following a ceasefire announcement between Iran and Israel. PIA halted its operations temporarily as a safety measure while waiting for clearance from Gulf aviation authorities.
