PIA Announces Generous 20% Discount for Students Traveling to China
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is offering a substantial 20% discount to students traveling from Pakistan to China, making air travel more affordable for young academics. This initiative aims to support Pakistani students studying in China by easing their travel expenses.
In addition to the discount, PIA has significantly increased the baggage allowance, allowing students to carry up to 60 kilograms of luggage. This is particularly beneficial for students who often need to transport books, study materials, and personal belongings.
Currently, PIA operates a weekly flight every Sunday between Islamabad and Beijing. The discount is not only available to students traveling to China but also to those returning home for summer break or after completing their degrees.
Ali Imran, a Pakistani researcher, highlighted the importance of this discount, noting that many Pakistani students are enrolled in various universities across China’s major cities. The combination of reduced fares and increased baggage allowance is a significant advantage for these students.
Additional Discounts for Other Routes
Last month, PIA also introduced discounted fares for Saudi Arabian residents and individuals holding work visas. The airline offered fare reductions of 30% and 20% for travelers from Pakistan to Jeddah and Madinah during the Umrah season, between April 7 and 11. Passengers traveling to Dammam and Riyadh also benefited from these reduced fares.
