After a break of nearly four and a half years, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is resuming its direct flights to Paris. The first flight, PK-749, departed from Islamabad International Airport today at 12:10 PM and expected to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport this evening. This marks a significant milestone for the airline as it reconnects Pakistan with France through PIA Paris routes.
The national carrier will operate 2 weekly flights to Paris, offering a cost-effective and time-saving option for travelers. According to a PIA spokesperson, the 1st and 2nd flights to and from Paris fully booked, showcasing a highly encouraging response from passengers. To enhance the travel experience, PIA has introduced an intranet wireless system for in-flight entertainment. Passengers can now enjoy movies, music, and more on their mobile phones, tablets, or laptops during the journey.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expected to see off the passengers on this special occasion, further emphasizing the importance of this development. The reinstatement of the PIA Paris flights addresses the longstanding demand of Pakistanis residing in France and Pakistan, fostering stronger connections between the two countries.[
PIA Europe Ban Lifted
It’s a significant milestone for PIA, especially after the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifted the ban that imposed in 2020 following a tragic plane crash and issues with pilot licenses. The resumption of these flights expected to boost business, tourism, and cultural ties between Pakistan and France
PIA remains optimistic about the future of these routes, expecting even higher bookings in the coming months. With affordable ticket prices and enhanced services, these flights are a game-changer for international travelers.
