PIMEC 2025: Karachi Traffic Plan Issued for 3-Day Maritime Expo

The Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC 2025) begins today at the Karachi Expo Centre, extending till November 6, and it will bring together participants of the maritime, trade, and engineering industries.

To cope with the traffic in the surrounding of PIMEC exhibition, Karachi Traffic Police set out a comprehensive route map to ensure that the traffic flow was smooth all throughout the exhibition.

Traffic Diversions Around PIMEC Expo

Police stopped heavy and commercial vehicles from moving towards the Expo Centre and National Stadium. Vehicles from Shahrah-e-Faisal (Nursery side) and Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road cannot move towards Sir Shah Suleman Road.

Motorcyclists using Karsaz or Drigh Road can travel through Rashid Minhas Road via Millennium Mall or NIPA. Vehicles from the airport will move towards Rashid Minhas Road after turning right from Drigh Road.

Alternate Routes for Public During PIMEC 2025

The traffic plan for PIMEC 2025 Karachi redirects heavy vehicles from Rashid Minhas Road and Millennium Mall away from Stadium and Dalmia. These vehicles will follow routes via Shahrah-e-Faisal, NIPA, Gulshan Chowrangi, Sohrab Goth, and Safoora Goth.

No heavy vehicle can move from NIPA to Hassan Square or enter Stadium Road and University Road. Traffic will divert through Baloch Pul towards Shaheed-e-Millat Road.

Traffic Police confirmed that Sir Shah Suleman Road between Liaquatabad No.10 and Hassan Square will remain closed for heavy vehicles, while light vehicles can use Shahrah-e-Pakistan as an alternate route.

Small vehicles traveling to the National Stadium due to the PIMEC expo can still use the Hassan Square Flyover.

Officials encouraged people to take orders, go through alternate paths, and collaborate with the traffic police to enable free traffic during PIMEC 2025 Karachi.
