With the PM Imran chicken policy, the household income may increase by Rs 10,000.� Poultry Research Institute experts revealed that the PM Imran poultry policy will be highly effective to increase the household income.
In Pakistan, around 44% of children below 5 years have stunted the growth because of the nutritional deficiency. In addition, the high infant mortality rate is also associated with mothers� malnutrition. However, eggs can be a healthy addition to their diets.
According to livestock officials, hens will lay numerous eggs per week, that will provide the additional Rs 10,000 income per month.
The research institute has also crossed �Desi� chicken breeds. However, they are in high demand across Pakistan, so they crossed with breeds from Egypt and Australia and�Rhode Island reds to produce birds suited for surviving in backyards.
Last month, PM Imran Khan said that poultry can help Pakistan to eliminate the poverty.
