PM Imran Disqualification Case: Plea to be Heard in LHC Today
On Friday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) will listen to a petition which has been created to seek the disqualification of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The petition has been filed by Advocate AK Dogar and will be heard by Justice Shams Mehmood.
In this petition, Advocate Dogar has alleged Imran Khan of encouraged the citizens of Pakistan into civil disobedience during the reign of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Due to this, the current prime minister should not be allowed to be a member of the Parliament, according to the petition.
Imran had urged people to neither pay taxes nor send foreign remittances. Imran along with his supporters stormed towards the Parliament House and smashed its gates,” the petition states.
While requesting for the prime minister to be disqualified, the petition has stated that he previously worked against Pakistans sovereignty and political system.
