PM Imran Khan, CM Punjab agreed for small provincial cabinet

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar agreed to create the smaller provincial cabinet.

CM Punjab Usman Buzdar and PM Imran Khan met today and agreed to form a small provincial cabinet. However, Punjab cabinet members’ names will be decided within 2 days.

It was decided during the meeting that 15 members will be assigned portfolios in the first phase. However, according to sources, senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members will become key ministers.

Mehmood-ur-Rasheed is under consideration for Ministry of Housing and Communication & Works Department. Yasmin Rashid for health minister, Samiullah Khan as chief whip, Aleem Khan for Minister for Local Government, and Sibtain Khan are under consideration for agriculture minister.

Hasnain Dreshak for provincial finance minister, Raja Basharat as provincial minister for parliamentary affairs, and Hashim Khan for the post of Punjab minister for education are under consideration. Jahanzeb Kacchi for Punjab Minister of Livestock and Aslam Iqbal as provincial information minister is under consideration. However, Raja Yasir is under consideration for the post of Punjab Minister of Higher Education

Other notable names are Rashid Hafeez, Murad Raas, Mohsin Leghari, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan, Saeeda Sohail, Malik Akhtar, and Ajmal Cheema.
