Supreme Court of Pakistan dismissed the plea of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s disqualification on Monday (today).
CJP Saqib Nisar led bench heard the petition of PM Imran Khan Disqualification Case today. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the plea. However, the petition was filed by Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry in 2017.
Daniyal Chaudhry upheld that Imran Khan is ineligible to become the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) as he does not fulfill article 62 and 63.
In addition, petitions were also been filed in the past in the Supreme Court and Islamabad High Court (IHC) for PM Imran Khan Disqualification.
Earlier, a petition was filed by Abdul Wahab Baloch, member of Justice and Democratic Party. He challenged the nomination papers of Imran Khan from NA-243 due to the Sita White case. Howeevr, Imran won the constituency during Pakistan Election 2018.
