PM Imran Khan Visit to Iran: Pakistani PM receives official welcome


PM Imran Khan visit to Iran is in progress as Pakistani PM reached at Iran on the 2 day official visit.

During PM Imran Khan visit to Iran, the Pakistani Prime Minister received warm welcome at the Saadabad Palace, Iran. However, he was received by Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian President.

During the two-day visit, PM Imran Khan will discuss regional and bilateral issues with the Iranian leadership. In addition, he will also call on Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and meet Pakistani and Iranian business community.

PM Imran Khan landed at the Tehran International Airport on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed by Iranian Health Minister Dr Saeed Namaki. He is acompained by Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari, Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Baber, Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, and Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafarullah Mirza.

PM Imran Khan visit to Iran, the first since he took office, comes few days after gunmen shot dead 14 people, including Pakistan Navy personnel, near Ormara.
