Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan ordered to keep PM oath taking ceremony simple.
Imran Khan directed to organize the PM oath taking ceremony in simple manner. However, guests will be served with biscuits and tea only to avoid extra burden on national exchequer in this regard. The PM oath taking ceremony will be held at President House (Aiwan-e-Sadr) Islamabad on August 18.
According to sources, there will be no display of extravagance at the PM oath taking ceremony. Earlier, PTI invited Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Sunil Gavaskar for Imran Khan oath taking ceremony. However, Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar refused to come while Navjot Singh Sidhu will attend the event.
The team who won the ICC 1992 World Cup for Pakistan is also invited in Imran Khan oath taking ceremony.
PTI came as the leading party in Pakistan Election 2018 and has 151 seats in the National Assembly. However, Imran Khan is in a strong position to become PM today with the help of allies.
