Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that under the Ramadan Relief Package 2025, financial assistance is being directly transferred to beneficiaries through a digital wallet. This initiative aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in delivering relief to deserving individuals across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
63% of Beneficiaries Receive Ramadan Relief Funds
During a review meeting held in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed on the progress of the Ramadan Relief Package 2025. Officials reported that 63% of eligible beneficiaries have already received their financial aid. To facilitate the process, 2,224 employees have been deployed nationwide.
Ensuring Transparency Through Digital Technology
The government is utilizing State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), NADRA, and technology institutions to make the Ramadan relief process transparent and accessible. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated their efforts in ensuring smooth fund distribution through digital means.
To further enhance credibility, the Prime Minister directed that a third-party audit be conducted on the Ramadan Relief Package. He also suggested that this digital relief model should be implemented in other government schemes to improve efficiency.
High-Level Officials Attend Review Meeting
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Shaza Fatima, Petroleum Minister Ali Parvez Malik, Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar, Chairman NADRA, and Chairman PTA.
The Ramadan Relief Package 2025 aims to support low-income families during the holy month, ensuring fair distribution through digital financial assistance. With the majority of beneficiaries already receiving aid, the government is committed to completing the process efficiently and transparently.
