Bannu: Politicians condemned the attack on MMA candidate Akram Khan Durrani’s convoy.
Different politicians condemned the blast in Bannu on Akram Khan Durrani’s rally. However, a few hours back, an explosion targeted to hit JUI-F leader and MMA candidate killed at least 4 people while several are injured.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), condemned the attack and demanded to enhance the security of political candidates. He said institutions and entire nation should unite to effectively deal with the terrorism.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan also condemned the attack on Akram Khan Durrani’s rally. He said that he strongly condemn the terrorist attack. He further added that it seems to be the conspiracy to affect the General Election 2018. Here is his tweet:

Akram Khan Durrani is contesting Pakistan Election 2018 from NA-35 Bannu on the MMA ticket. According to RPO, the blast happened 50 meters away from the rally’s site. In addition, 40 police officers were deployed at the venue. However, Akram Khan Durrani survived the attack. He said that it was a fifth attack on him and security forces warned him about the security threats. He further added that his vehicle is totally destroyed due to the explosion.
