Petrol Price in Pakistan – The Prime Minister of Pakistan is expected to decide on potential changes to petrol price in the country for the next 15 days. This decision comes amidst recent fluctuations in global crude oil markets.
According to media reports, crude oil prices have risen in the past two weeks in international markets. London Brent Oil experienced a 2.10% increase, reaching $83.80 per barrel, while American crude oil futures saw a 1.48% rise, reaching $79.40 per barrel.
Additionally, the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar has also had an impact, leading to recommendations for adjustments in petroleum product prices.
Reports suggest that there is a proposal for a one-rupee increase per liter in petrol prices. Furthermore, there is a recommendation for an 80-paisa increase in high-speed diesel prices, a one-rupee increase in kerosene oil prices, and a reduction of 1.50 rupees per liter in light-speed diesel prices.
The final decision regarding these proposed changes in petroleum product prices is expected to be announced on the night of March 15.
