ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain will be going to Tajikistan on an official four-day visit tomorrow, according to Foreign Office.
The invitation for the visit was extended by the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon according to the FO. President Mamnoon Hussain will also attend International Decade for Action ‘Water for Sustainable Development’ 2018-2028 conference there.
The international conference is hosted by the country of Tajikistan where leaders from the international community will be visiting. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) has cooperated for the conference as well.
The conference will be surrounding the sustainable development and integrated management of water resources. This will be to achieve a set of objectives around social, economic and environmental targets.
The president is also expected to have a meeting with his Tajik counterpart to further the bilateral relations between the countries. The President and his Tajik counterpart will find ways to further strengthen and diversify the ties between the states.
This will be President Mamnoon Hussain’s first visit to the country of Tajikistan.
