Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has departed for a one day visit to Afghan capital city Kabul. In Kabul he will be meeting the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, and Chief Executive, Abdullah. He will also be meeting various government officials of Afghanistan as well.
Pakistan Afghanistan Tensions Increased in Recent Months
Afghanistan has been accusing Pakistan of harboring Terrorist Insurgents, claiming that Pakistan is a safe haven for the terrorists that have been damaging Afghan cities and causing acts of terrorism. These blames on Pakistani Government have openly been refused of, as Pakistani Government is trying its best to quell the terrorist situation and has sacrificed tremendously to achieve peace in the region. Afghanistan has also accused Pakistan of air strikes in the Afghan city of Kunar, which they say has caused huge financial damage.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be meeting the Afghan President and his cabinet to ease the recent tensions that have risen between the countries. It seems the reason for visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan is to talk things out peacefully before the tensions escalate. PM Abbasi will be holding talks for National Security and peace of the region, Economical situations and the return of Afghan migrants to Afghanistan from Pakistan. Discussions on cooperation against terrorism will be one of the main topics which PM Pakistan will bring up along with discussion on the completion of CASA1000 and TAPI projects that will supply gas for building electricity in the countries.
