PSL Draft 2022: Teams Pick Players For Tournament

The player draft for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) was held on Sunday at the National High Performance Centre.

After all the rounds were held, the final team roster was concluded.

The categories included Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Emerging and Supplementary.

First pick of the day this year in the Platinum category was Fakhar Zaman by the Lahore Qalandars.

Other players include Tim David by Multan Sultans, Chris Jordon by Karachi Kings, Colin Munro by Islamabad United, Zazai by Peshawar Zalmi and Jason Roy by Quetta Gladiators.

The first pick in the Diamond category was Marchant De Lange by Islamabad United followed by Multan Sultans picking Odean Smith, Karachi Kings picking Lewis Gregory and Quetta Gladiators bag James Faulkner.

The Gold category saw the first pick as Abdullah Shafique by Lahore Qalandars who also chose Phil Salt and Harry Brook, while Peshawar Zalmi picked Usman Qadir.

In the first round of the Silver category,Peshawar Zalmi picked Salman Arshad, Multan Sultans picked Rumman Raees and Asif Afridi, Karachi Kings picked Umaid Asif, Lahore Qalandars went for Kamran Ghulam and Islamabad United chose M Akhlaq.

Second round of the Silver category saw Multan Sultans pick Anwar Ali, Islamabad United pick Reece Topley and Danish Aziz, Karachi Kings pick Tom Abell, Lahore Qalandars pick Dean Foxcroft and Quetta Gladiators going for Umar Akmal.

Silver categorys round 3 witnessed Quetta Gladiators picked Sohail Tanvir, Karachi Kings picked Rohail Nazir and M Imran Jr, Islamabad United picked Zafar Gohar, Peshawar Zalmi picked Arshad Iqbal, and Multan Sultans picked Rovman Powell.

Silver category picks ended in round 4 with Peshawar Zalmi choosing Sameen Gul and Kamran Akmal as their final picks while Quetta Gladiators went for Ben Duckett, Khurram Shehzad and Naveen ul Haq whereas Multan Sultans choose Imran Khan Sr.
