The Punjab government officially granted permission to Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to organize a rally today in Lahore, with a strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The rally will take place on Kasur Road, Kahna, between 3 PM and 6 PM, as per the issued notification.
PTI Jalsa Guidelines and Restrictions
According to the notification, no slogans or statements against the state or its institutions allowed during the event. The participation of wanted criminals strictly prohibited and the rally administration responsible for ensuring compliance. If any wanted individuals found attending, the administration tasked with assisting law enforcement in their arrest. Failure to cooperate will result in legal action against the organizers for non-compliance.
The rally organizers must closely coordinate with SP Model Town and SP Security Lahore to maintain order and ensure a peaceful event.
In a parallel development, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa set to issue a public apology for a controversial speech made in Islamabad on September 8, further highlighting PTI’s focus on maintaining good relations with the state and avoiding any unnecessary conflict.
PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar, has called on the administration to avoid placing obstacles on the roads leading to the rally site, emphasizing that a smooth traffic flow will help ensure the event runs on schedule. “If there are no roadblocks, people will arrive on time, and we will be able to conclude the rally as planned,” Barrister Gohar stated.
Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Ahmad Khan Bhachar, reiterated the party’s commitment to holding a peaceful rally. He assured the public that the event would conducted according to the Constitution and the law.
