Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf or PTI MPA Aleem Khan will be presented before the court on Thursday (today).
PTI MPA Aleem Khan, who was arrested yesterday, will appear before the Accountability Court today. National Accountability Bureau or NAB summoned him yesterday for the ongoing investigation against him for offshore companies and holding assets beyond known income sources.
One official revealed that Aleem misused his authority as a lawmaker for his Parkview Housing Society. Aleem also has assets beyond his means in Pakistan and overseas. However, according to a NAB spokesperson, the arrest was made in light of the Panama scandal investigation.
Aleem Khan is further accused of forming A and A Company to acquire 1,500 Kanals in Lahore and its outskirts. The accountability bureau spokesperson said Aleem did not provide a satisfactory response on the acquisition of this land. According to NAB, during Aleem’s 2005 and 2006 visit to UAE and UK, he made several offshore companies.
