Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is gearing up for a public rally in Rawalpindi on September 28. This was announced by PTI’s Barrister Gohar Khan on Monday, adding that the party has already applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to proceed with the rally.
While speaking to the media in Islamabad, Gohar Khan emphasized that the PTI’s core committee has been discussing the recent Supreme Court verdict. He said, “We deeply respect the Supreme Court’s decision and acknowledge its importance.”
He also urged the Election Commission to announce the reserved seats promptly, pointing out the urgency of this matter.
Earlier in the day, Barrister Gohar highlighted the crucial role of an independent judiciary in strengthening democracy. He stressed that reducing oppression is key to the country’s democratic progress and took the government to task for allegedly trying to make unconstitutional amendments.
