Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) will get seven reserved seats in National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI will get seven out of nine reserved National Assembly seats for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Majlis i Amal (MMA) will get one seat each.
In addition, PTI will also secure 16 out of 22 women reserved seats in KP. However, MMA will get the 2 seats and PML-N, PPPP, and ANP will get one seat each.
According to the constitution of Pakistan, women reserved seats in both provincial and national assembly will be filled through the proportional representation system of political parties. ECP will also include independent returned candidates for purpose of overall general seats won by political party in any province. However, these candidates should join political party within 3 days of publication in official gazette.
Currently, PTI has grabbed 30 out of the 39 National Assembly seats in KP. However, MMA and PML-N secured three seats each. Whereas, ANP won just one seat in Pakistan Election 2018.
