In a proactive move to adapt to the changing daylight hours, Punjab’s interim government has implemented revised school timings for both state-run and private schools across the province during the winter season.
These adjusted timings will come into effect starting October 16, 2023, ensuring schools operate efficiently in light of the seasonal changes. On weekdays, schools will now open at 8:00 am and conclude at 2:30 pm, with the exception of Fridays when school hours will be from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm.
These winter timings will remain in effect until spring, at which point officials will release a new schedule tailored to the changing season.
In the meantime, the announcement regarding winter vacation schedules will be made after further discussions in official meetings.
