In a recent meeting chaired by Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, the Cabinet Committee for Law and Order discussed key measures to ensure public safety and order during Eid ul Adha 2024 in Pakistan. Held at the Department of Interior, the committee approved several important actions.
One of the main decisions was to appoint price control magistrates in various districts to monitor and regulate prices effectively. This move aims to stabilize market conditions and protect consumers from unfair pricing.
Additionally, the committee granted parole for two prisoners, showing a balanced approach to justice and rehabilitation. As Eid ul-Adha approached, special measures were approved to combat illegal activities. The committee decided to crack down on banned organizations that collect animal skins for fundraising, enforcing the Anti-Terrorism Act to maintain security and order during the festive period.
For public safety, a ban on temporary and mechanical swings in neighborhoods during Eid was imposed to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of residents. The committee also reiterated its commitment to ongoing actions against drug dealers, illegal kite factories, and electricity theft throughout the province.
These decisions highlight the provincial government’s dedication to maintaining law and order, ensuring safety, and upholding justice across the region.
