The Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department have rolled out a groundbreaking mobile application for vehicle registration, aiming to revolutionize the cumbersome registration process.
This innovative mobile app, designed to facilitate Punjab’s residents, allows them to complete vehicle registration from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the hassles of visiting government offices.
The Punjab Excise Mobile Registration Service debuted at the Quaid-e-Azam Library parking lot in Bagh-e-Jinnah on March 19, followed by launches at Liberty Chowk in Gulberg on March 20, Fortress Stadium in Lahore Cantt on March 21, and Maulana Shaukat Ali Road Car Market in Johar Town on March 22.
In collaboration with the Punjab Motor Dealers Association, the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department aims to promote seamless vehicle registration and transfer through this user-friendly digital platform, thereby ensuring legal compliance and preventing penalties.
This initiative marks a significant leap forward in simplifying the vehicle registration process, offering residents a convenient alternative to lengthy government office queues.
The introduction of a digital registration card in January 2024 by the Punjab Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Department addresses a longstanding concern for new vehicle owners, eliminating fines often imposed by traffic police due to delayed registration card issuance.
This new mobile app and digital card system underscore the government’s commitment to enhancing citizen experiences and addressing key challenges faced by vehicle owners in Punjab.
