Punjab Schools Timing Update – In a recent update from the provincial education department, it has been announced that all schools in Punjab will revert to their regular timings starting February 1, 2024. The winter timings, implemented on January 8, will conclude on January 31.
As per government directives, both public and private schools will operate from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays, with a shorter schedule on Fridays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm until the end of January.
The official notification issued by the authorities stated, “In continuation of this department’s notification of even No. dated 08.01.2024, the timings already notified are hereby extended till 31st January 2024, in all public and private schools across the province. The schools shall resume regular timings from 01-.02-2024.”
The directive emphasized that all Chief Executive Officers (DEA) in Punjab and Heads/Principals of Public and Private schools must ensure strict compliance with the stated timings.
Parents, students, and school staff are advised to take note of this update as schools transition back to their regular schedules, promoting a seamless return to the standard academic routine.
