Punjab’s Apna Ghar Apni Chhat Scheme: Installment Plans and Eligibility

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the launch of the “Apna Ghar Apni Chhat” scheme, aimed at providing affordable housing to the people. This initiative marks a significant step towards addressing the housing needs in Punjab.

“Apna Ghar Apni Chhat” program officially inaugurated by Maryam Nawaz at Lahore Ashiana Housing Society. Speaking at the ceremony, she expressed her excitement about launching the scheme that many had been eagerly awaiting, especially Nawaz Sharif, who was keen on its introduction.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of having a home, noting that those who already have a roof over their heads might not fully understand its value. The true meaning of having a home is best understood by those who are without one, she added. The struggle of not having a place to call home is difficult to describe in words.

Who is Eligible for the Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme?

The Chief Minister shared that under this scheme, urban residents will be eligible for a loan of 1.5 million PKR for land ranging from 1 to 5 marlas, while in rural areas, the same amount will be available for land between 1 to 10 marlas.

The loans will be repayable over seven years, with the first three months requiring no payments.

Maryam Nawaz further highlighted that the maximum monthly installment would be 14,000 PKR, and the Punjab government will provide these loans without any interest. She assured that she oversees the progress of such projects to ensure their successful implementation.
