Punjab’s New Cabinet Ministers Sworn In at Governor’s House

In a significant political development, the Punjab Assembly witnessed the swearing-in of its new cabinet members at the Governor House in Lahore. The first phase saw 18 fresh faces taking the oath, administered by Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz graced the occasion with her presence.

The Chief Minister House released an official notification regarding the induction of the new cabinet. The governor, acting on the chief minister’s advice, appointed 17 members in the first phase of the cabinet formation, exercising his powers under clause 1 of Article 132 of the Constitution.

The latest update from the Governor House reveals that the cabinet now includes Marriyum Aurangzeb as the senior minister, among the 18 cabinet members.

The initial cabinet comprises several notable individuals including Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Shah, Muhammad Kazim Pirzada, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Zeeshan Rafique, Bilal Akbar Khan, Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Azma Zahid Bukhari, Bilal Yasin, Ramesh Singh Arora, Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Shafay Hussain, Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Sohail Shaukat Butt and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman.
