General Qamar Javed Bajwa made his place in Forbes World’s Most Powerful People 2018 list.
Pakistan’s current Army Chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa has been included in the most powerful list annually published by Forbes. In 2016, he became Army Chief and now he ranks 68 among 75 most powerful people in the world. Qamar Javed Bajwa also earlier awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Nishan-e-Imtiaz in Pakistan. In addition, he is the only Pakistani that is included in the Forbes list.
Qamar Javed Bajwa is among 17 new people to the list. French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman are also among the newcomers. However, other newcomers are billionaires, CEOs, presidents, and heads of different organizations.
Chinese President Xi Jinping snatched the first position from the Russian President Vladimir Putin and now is on the top of the list. The US President Donald Trump is on third place. The most powerful woman is German Chancellor Angela Merkel who is in the fourth position. The list also includes Narendra Modi (9), Bill Gates (7), Pope Francis (6), Emmanuel Macron (12), Elon Musk (25), Jack Ma (21), Kim Jong-un (36), Antonio Guterres (31), Bashar Al-Assad (62), Justin Trudeau (57), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (73), Rodrigo Duterte (69), etc.
