Train services from Quetta to Chaman and other parts of Pakistan remain suspended for the third consecutive day, causing inconvenience to passengers. The suspension follows a train attack in Kachhi, which led authorities to halt operations for security reasons.
Jaffer Express, Bolan Mail, and Chaman Passenger Train Not Operational
According to Pakistan Railways officials, key train services, including the Jaffer Express, Bolan Mail, and Chaman Passenger Train, have not departed today. Travelers relying on these routes are facing delays as railway authorities work to ensure safety before resuming operations.
Why Are Quetta Trains Suspended?
The suspension of Quetta train services came after a terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express, which raised serious security concerns. The incident led to a three-day shutdown to assess the situation and reinforce security measures.
In response to the Jaffer Express attack, Pakistan Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif stated that the event has “changed the rules of the game.” He made it clear that no one will be allowed to target innocent Pakistanis in public spaces, whether on roads, trains, buses, or markets.
Authorities have not yet confirmed when train services from Quetta will resume. However, security measures are being reviewed to prevent future incidents. The DG ISPR has also assured that terrorists responsible for such attacks will not be spared.
