The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to convene today (Wednesday) to observe the moon sighting for Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1446 AH. The crucial meeting, which marks the beginning of the Islamic month associated with the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
In parallel, zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will gather at their respective headquarters to collect evidence regarding the moon sighting. The committee, comprising prominent scholars such as Mufti Zameer Ahmed Sajid, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Naeemi, and others, will play a key role in the decision-making process.
