Lahore: Khawaja Saad Rafique, former railways minister, in the Railway losses case presented before the Supreme Court on Wednesday (today).
In Railway losses case, Khawaja Saad Rafique appeared before the Supreme Court today. Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar led three member bench is hearing the case. However, CJP led bench will also hear the other key cases at Supreme Court Lahore Registry today.
In April, CJP Saqib Nisar took the suo motu notice of alleged Rs60 billion corruption in the Pakistan Railways. In addition, he also summoned board members, railways minister, and secretary along with the audit report.
A few days back, Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique were got arrested after Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the request of pre arrest bail extension in the case related to the Paragon Housing Society scam. However, they are in National Accountability Bureau or NAB custody since November 11 over the Paragon Housing Society case.
