ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
With the first day of Ramadan and fasting, the news of pleasant weather is a relief for the people. However; other than Punjab and KP, the rest of the country is expected to have dry and hot weather.
The meteorological department has predicted rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sarghoda, Faisalabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal along with Quetta and Zhob divisions.
Temperature in Karachi is expected to rise as high as 40 Celsius in the upcoming days of Ramadan. PMD has predicted the temperature of Karachi to be from 38 to 40 Celsius in the first week of Ramadan. They said hot and dry wind is going to be blowing from the south-west.
Karachi was under the influence of fiercely hot weather for the last two months, with temperature as much as 40 Celsius being recorded in March.
More hot weather is expected in future for the southern belt of the country.
