Anticipating Rainfall Across Pakistan: Meteorological Department’s Forecast from February 29 to March 2
In an updated weather forecast, the Meteorological Department has predicted a likelihood of additional rainfall across various regions of Pakistan. The forecast spans from February 29 to March 2, with expectations of gusty winds, thunderstorms, and persistent rainfall in most parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department highlighted the arrival of a series of western disturbances, expected to enter the western regions of Pakistan from February 29 onwards. This weather pattern is anticipated to bring rainfall to diverse areas of Balochistan during the period from February 29 to March 1.
Between February 29 and March 3, several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Haripur, Kohistan, Kark, Peshawar, Charsadda, and Nowshera, are expected to witness rain.
The Meteorological Department pointed out the likelihood of rain in Lucky Marwat, Mardan, and other cities. Furthermore, Islamabad, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may also experience rainfall during this period.
From February 29 to March 1, the forecast indicates the possibility of rain in most districts of Sindh. Thunderstorms and rain are anticipated in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, and Khairpur.
The Meteorological Department highlighted the expectation of rainfall with thunder and lightning in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas during this weather event.
