The Meteorological Department predicts a shift in weather patterns today, with the likelihood of rain in the western districts of Balochistan. While the majority of the country braces for severe cold, Balochistan may experience a welcome change.
According to the department’s report, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various regions in Pakistan will endure chilly and dry conditions. Cities such as Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, and D.I. Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to be enveloped in dense fog during the morning and night hours.
In Punjab, most areas will witness cold and dry weather, with Murree, Galyat, and Gadoon facing particularly frigid temperatures and partial cloud cover. Meanwhile, cities like Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and others will experience intense fog, impacting visibility during the morning and night. Some regions in the Pothohar area are also anticipated to encounter foggy conditions.
Balochistan’s majority of districts will stay cold and dry, but the western areas, including Nushki, Qilaat, Turbat, Chagai, and Nokundi, might witness light rain.
Sindh, on the other hand, will mostly remain dry and cold, with cities like Jacobabad, Mohenjo Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, and Padidan experiencing foggy conditions in the morning and night.
The northern regions, including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, will continue to grapple with extreme cold and dry weather.
