A cold winter breeze was felt throughout Karachi on Tuesday as temperature dropped due to rainfall.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said the most amount of rainfall recorded was 5.5mm in Quaidabad, followed by 2mm in PAF Faisal Base and Gulshan-i-Hadeed.
1.88 mm of rainfall was recorded at Jinnah Terminal 1.5mm in MOS old airport area, 1.2mm at University Road/Met Complex, 1mm in PAF Masroor Base and Nazimabad, 0.8mm in North Karachi, 0.6mm in DHA Phase 2, 1.2mm in Surjani Town, 0.6mm in Gulshan-i-Maymar and 0.2mm in Orangi Town.
The Met Department further added that no rainfall was recorded in Kemari and Saadi Town.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab took to the streets and shared a video of him touring the city in a car.
“Just came out for a visit to Shahrea Faisal, PECHS and Bahadurabad. Roads so far have been clear. Will keep everyone posted,” he said.
