Shahzaib Naqvi, the youngest son of MQM Pakistan’s MNA Rana Ansar, sadly passed away in a car accident near Clifton Underpass early Wednesday morning. The incident left his friend, 30-year-old Ilyas, injured.
The crash happened when the car lost control during a turn at high speed. The vehicle flipped over, causing the tragic death of 35-year-old Shahzaib and injuries to Ilyas. Both were immediately rushed to Jinnah Hospital. Police confirmed Shahzaib’s identity and his relation to Rana Ansar, a respected MNA, and the late journalist Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi.
SHO Clifton, Azam Rajper, shared that Shahzaib lived on Rashid Minhas Road. He was known to be close to his mother and carried the legacy of his father. The crash happened as they were driving near Clifton Underpass, and despite efforts to save him, Shahzaib didn’t survive. His body was handed over to his family after completing legal formalities.
This unfortunate incident left the political circle in grief. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed deep sorrow, extending heartfelt condolences to Rana Ansar and her family. He prayed for patience and strength for the family during this difficult time.
