If you’re a daily commuter using the People’s Bus Service R3 in Karachi, here’s an important update. Due to the Champions Trophy 2025, the R3 bus route has been temporarily changed to avoid high-traffic zones during match days.
According to the People’s Bus Service administration, restrictions placed on heavy traffic during the Champions Trophy have also impacted public transport. This means the R3 bus service in Karachi will not be allowed to pass through certain roads.
New Route for People’s Bus Service R3
Under the temporary changes, the R3 bus route in Karachi, which usually runs from North Nazimabad to Shahrah-e-Faisal via Liaquatabad, Hassan Square, and Karsaz, will now take an alternate route. The new temporary route will go through Teen Hatti and Shahrah-e-Qaideen before reaching Shahrah-e-Faisal.
The People’s Bus Service R3 route modification is only for match days of the Champions Trophy 2025. On non-match days, the bus will continue to operate on its original route as usual.
