In a significant stride towards enhancing the public transportation system in Karachi, the Sindh government proudly introduces the “Peoples Bus Service.” This addition to Karachi’s transportation network is aimed at providing efficient and accessible transit options for the city’s residents, offering a welcome solution to the ongoing mobility challenges faced by its citizens.
Red Bus Ticket Price: Affordable and Accessible
The People’s Bus Service proudly presents air-conditioned red buses, each capable of seating approximately 40 passengers, complete with dedicated spaces for women. Additionally, these buses offer standing room for up to 40 more commuters, ensuring that the service remains accessible for all. The fare for most routes is a wallet-friendly PKR 50. However, for Route 9, which extends beyond Malir Halt, the fare is PKR 100. This pricing structure caters to the diverse needs of Karachi’s populace, making public transportation an affordable choice for everyone.
Red Bus Timings: Convenient and Consistent
The Peoples Bus Service operates daily from 7 am to 10 pm, ensuring a reliable means of transportation throughout the day. During peak hours, the buses maintain a headway (time gap) of approximately 15 minutes, making it easy for commuters to plan their journeys efficiently. Even during off-peak hours, the headway is only extended to 30 minutes, minimizing waiting times and making it a dependable mode of transport.
