Reports of removal of Finance Minister Asad Umar are baseless, sources


According to government sources, reports related to the removal of Asad Umar as the finance minister are not true.

The government sources denied the news that Asad Umar is going to remove from the post of finance minister. There have been reports that the government has decided to remove Asad Umar as the finance minister and will appoint him on the post of petroleum minister. Now, government sources denied the reports and revealed there is no truth in these reports.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted on the whole situation that there is no truth in reports regarding changes in posts of federal ministers. The prime minister has the power to change ministers and the media should play a responsible role on this subject. He further added that the country is going through an important phase and such speculations create confusion which is not beneficial for Pakistan. Here is his tweet:
