24 death tolls today in Sadiqabad train accident that took place on Thursday (yesterday).

In Sadiqabad train accident, the death toll is now reached to 24. The Akber Bugti express traveling to Quetta from Lahore clashed with a cargo train standing on the loop. The clash between the two trains on Thursday resulted in numerous injuries and 24 casualties till now. Searching in the ruins two bodies were found today which are reported to be of a kid and a man.

The accident happened when the train carrying the passengers went on the wrong track where the freight train was standing. According to the reports the engine of the train is completely destroyed. The locals and rescue team rescued many from the ruins.


The Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed however said this accident that occurred was the result of human negligence. He announced that the compensation will be given to the families of the casualties and who are injured. Rs.500,000 lacks will be given to the ones who got seriously injured while the amount of compensation will be 15 lacks (1.5 million) to the ones who are dead.
