Sardar Akhtar Mengal Takes Legal Action in Balochistan High Court Over Travel Ban

Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court against the travel ban imposed on him by the government. The petition filed through Advocate Sajid Tareen, former president of the Balochistan High Court Bar and BNP’s senior vice president.

The case is against the legality of the government decision to limit travel to Akhtar Mengal. The petition mentions the illegality of the travel ban and urges to restore it.

A group of senior lawyers submitted their power of attorney in support of the petition. These included Advocate Agha Hassan Baloch (BNP’s Central Secretary for Information), Advocate Rahib Buledi (Vice Chairman, Bar Council), Advocate Habibullah Nasir (Secretary, Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Lawyers Forum), and Advocate Ali Hassan Bugti (PTI Lawyers Forum), among others.

A significant number of BNP leaders and lawyers were present in court during the proceedings.
