The much-anticipated visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to Pakistan has been postponed by over a month. The new schedule suggests that the Crown Prince could set foot in Pakistan right after the celebration of Eidul Azha.
The invitation for this visit was extended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his recent sojourn to the Saudi Kingdom. The Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, assured that the media will be informed once the new itinerary is finalized.
Earlier, the Crown Prince’s visit was slated for late 2022 but got delayed due to the political flux and electoral process in Pakistan. The visit was expected to take place this month as per media reports.
In the lead-up to the Crown Prince’s visit, a team of prominent Saudi business magnates had already made their way to Pakistan. Their agenda was to hold talks with their Pakistani peers to unearth potential investment avenues.
