School Timings in Punjab Changed for Summer 2024: Check Updated Time Here!

As the summer sun intensifies, Punjab’s education sector adapts. The region’s government and private schools have unveiled a new timetable to ensure student comfort and safety.

The education department of Punjab has confirmed that the school day will now commence at 7:45 am, wrapping up by 1:15 pm. However, Fridays will see an early finish, with classes concluding at 11:45 am.

Schools operating on a double-shift basis have also adjusted their schedules. The morning shift will run from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm, followed by the afternoon shift from 12:45 pm to 5:15 pm.

This change in school timings is not a new practice in Punjab and other regions. The education department regularly revises school schedules based on seasonal weather variations and student safety considerations. The previous winter schedule was in effect until April 15.
