Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has announced comprehensive arrangements for Shab-e-Barat 2024 in Pakistan, focusing on enhancing the experience for citizens visiting cemeteries to pay respects. In a recent meeting at his office, Mayor Wahab emphasized the importance of facilitating citizens during this solemn occasion.
Key initiatives include improved lighting along cemetery borders and pathways, ensuring cleanliness, and providing essential amenities. Each cemetery will feature a dedicated facility center equipped with essential services such as city wardens, 1122 ambulances, fire tenders, and drinking water tankers.
Mayor Wahab specifically instructed the Senior Director of Municipal Services to personally oversee the cleaning operations at prominent cemeteries like Muhammad Shah Graveyard, Sakhi Hasan, Mewa Shah, Azimpura, and Model Colony Graveyards.
These proactive measures aim to enhance the overall experience for citizens while paying respects to their departed loved ones. Such thoughtful arrangements reflect the city’s commitment to serving its residents during important religious observances.
