Officials briefed the minister on project details. The Shaheen Chowk underpass design changed during construction. Engineers extended the barrel length from 56 meters to 85 meters. CDA also expanded the scope of work, which raised the project cost to Rs1.3 billion with a 15 percent increase.
The prime minister laid the foundation stone on October 24. The original deadline allowed 150 days. CDA finished the project in nearly two months. Member Engineering CDA Syed Nafasat Raza credited teamwork and close monitoring for the early completion.

During the past year, CDA completed major road projects, including F-8 Interchange, Serena Interchange, Murree Road underpass, and T-Chowk Flyover. More projects remain planned, including Kashmir Chowk underpass and Margalla Avenue extension.
