The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has unveiled a grand plan to revamp Shahrah-e-Faisal, from the FTC Building to the airport. This ambitious project aims to beautify the area with fresh paint, improved lighting, and thorough cleaning of both residential and commercial properties. The initiative also includes planting trees and greenery along the road to enhance its appeal. Top architects will be brought in to ensure that the design standards are top-notch.
Buildings that are currently in poor condition will be targeted for renovations, and notices will be sent to their owners. This decision was made during a crucial meeting led by the SBCA Director General, which saw participation from key figures like Asif Sumsum, Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD), along with officials from the district administration and SBCA.
Following directions from the Provincial Minister of Local Government, Saeed Ghani, a detailed plan has been created to start the beautification efforts soon. This project encompasses various structures, including wedding halls, petrol stations, and both residential and commercial buildings. The SBCA Director General, Abdul Rashid Solangi, recently took a thorough tour of Shara-e-Faisal with a team from ABAD and officials from relevant departments to kick off this beautification drive.
The project promises to transform Shara-e-Faisal into a visually appealing corridor that enhances the city’s image and provides a more pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.
