Reports confirm that Pakistan is gearing up to introduce this program, drawing inspiration from successful ventures like Greenlit Studios in the country. Usman Malik, co-founder and CEO of Greenlit Studios, expressed his enthusiasm in an interview with a local newspaper, highlighting the community’s strong support for bringing Shark Tank to Pakistan. Malik emphasized their partnership with Sony Pictures Television as a significant milestone for Greenlit Studios, underscoring their commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across Pakistan.
Originally known as “Tigers of Money” in Japan (2001), followed by iterations such as Dragons’ Den in the UK (2005) and Shark Tank in the USA (2009), this format has resonated globally. Recently, Bangladesh aired its 50th edition of the program in 2022, further illustrating its widespread appeal.
